Race 1: Both Drivers Secure Top 10 Finishes
The weekend kicked off with a fantastic performance in Race 1, where both Leonardo and Diego finished in the top 10. Leonardo Escorpioni claimed an impressive P5 finish, showcasing his ability to compete at the front of the pack. Diego Guiot, despite facing fierce competition, crossed the line in P7, earning valuable points for the team.
This race was a strong start for Zanella Racing, and it set the tone for what would be a weekend filled with exciting battles and remarkable comebacks.
Race 2: A Race of Resilience and Skill
Race 2 tested the drivers’ resilience and skill, with both Leonardo and Diego facing challenging starting positions. Leonardo began the race from P17 but displayed incredible pace, climbing up the field to secure another P5 finish. Not only did he gain 12 positions during the race, but he also set the 3rd fastest lap time, further proving his potential as a rising star in the series.
Diego, who started from P16, faced an uphill battle due to a bent steering rack early in the race. Despite this significant setback, he managed to finish in P14, demonstrating his determination to bring the car home and continue contributing to the team’s overall success.
Race 3: Finishing Strong with Impressive Comebacks
The final race of the weekend saw both drivers delivering strong performances once again. Leonardo started from P3 and, after a hard-fought battle, finished in P6. His consistency throughout the weekend was a key factor in Zanella Racing’s overall success at Road America.
Diego, starting from P18, made an extraordinary comeback to finish in P7. His performance in Race 3 was a testament to his growing confidence and skill, as he navigated through the field and secured a strong finish.
